Watch Season 2 of 'What The Hec'
If you've been paying attention, you may have noticed the quiet return of animated series What the Hec? on our Facebook page this week. The series has been on a bit of a hiatus since Brooklyn-based artist and Mass Appeal in-house illustrator Hectah has been working on animations and title treatments for our hip hop fashion documentary Fresh Dressed, but now the series is back in full force.
After a successful first season on Instagram, Hectah has moved the series to Facebook and YouTube. While the first season was limited by the time constraints of Instagram, this time around there are no limits! In case you aren't familiar with the series, What the Hec? is an animated series described by creator Hectah as "a chunky brain fart." The project began as a photo series titled "The Dingle" back in 2012 (you can find the first one here), and Hectah began animating the series back in November of 2013.
The animated short will be dropping Monday, Wednesday, Friday on our page, so make sure to hit us with a like and subscribe to stay in the loop. In case you haven't watched last season's episodes, you can throw on a playlist of episodes remastered for YouTube, or check the originals in unedited Instagram video form here.
We'll be updating this post with the episodes as they release, so be sure to check back!
