It’s getting cold so you’re probably stuck in the crib trying to stay warm. In case you’re suffering from a mild case cabin fever, check out the short film above from the good people at West NYC. Created to help articulate the feel and inspiration behind this project, the piece is short film of a runner on a hunt for a pair of Saucony Shadow 5000 “Cabin Fever.” Running shoeless through the woods he comes across empty sneaker boxes throughout the trail which are filled with clues. The video is part of a promotional scavenger hunt West NYC is currently hosting for the sneakers releasing this weekend.
After the successful release of the “Tequila Sunrise” West NYC teams up with Saucony once again. Inspired by the great outdoors, the “Cabin Fever” boasts vibrant colors along with earth tone colors and foliage colored fabrics. There’s a deep moss green on the suede around the midsole, red speckles on the black outsole, black mesh leather on the toe and a sea green. The shoe box also features an autumn-inspired image of the woods. Dropping this Saturday Nov. 9th, the Saucony Shadow 5000 “Cabin Fever” edition will be available in sizes 7 to 14, retailing for $130.
