Fabolous’s Soul Tape 2 drops today and our friends at OnSMASH sat down with him to talk about it and other topics recently. In a candid interview with Black Twitter overlord, Relly, he talks about every thing from collaborating with Joe Budden again, to being slept on yet successful to his signature throwback jersey collection from back in the days. Watch the video above and check out what OnSMASH had to say below.
Returning with our new “Tale Of The Tape” series here on OnSMASH, Relly sits down with Fabolous in the studio in anticipation for his The S.O.U.L. Tape 2 mixtape, which is dropping on Thanksgiving. In their candid interview, the two speak on the production on the mixtape, the features on there (expect J. Cole, Troy Ave, Joe Budden and more) as well as why he decided to do a tape like this to begin with. Fab also discusses what separates this project from the There Is No Competition series, and why he wouldn’t do another tape under that name, but still would like to link up with Drama down the line.
On the subject of the upcoming album, Fab addressed his “So NY” record, saying him and Lil Wayne are cool and it was the media that blew it out of proportion. He also gave his two cents about how he stayed relevant since 1998, even as the game changed since.
Aside from the music, the two discussed the phenomenon of thirsty bitches and Loso told a story about a female blowing up his texts and how she caught him at weak moment. He also emphasizes the fact that he likes to stay away from DM’s from people he doesn’t know because of fear of the screencaps being exposed. Do you wonder what happened to all his throwback jerseys? Fab also reveals what happened to them.
