Call it the new Harlem Renaissance. With emerging stars like A$AP Mob, Bodega BAMZ, and Azealia Banks, the post-Dip Set Harlem is making more noise (for rap) than ever before.
With the cinematic B&W video for “Harlem Roses” Vinny Cha$e and his man Kid Art are making sure that their names come up when people talk about Uptown’s best and brightest. Don’t sleep on Cha$e, he’s as stylish as any of his contemporaries but way more technically adept as an MC. His bars on this dramatic track are full of slick similes and his calm, precise flow would make Rakim proud. Watch the clip and take a look at the Harlem of 2013. R.I.P. Lenox Lounge.
