Chance the Rapper Live in Chicago

Chance the Rapper lets some footage from his recent sold-out Chicago shows pop off. A sign of what he's bringing to New York, perhaps?

Up-and-comer Chance the Rapper just released a short film from his sold out shows in Chicago last month, and the footage is indicative of the 20-year-old’s poise and positioning. Look at his face in the opening seconds as the crowd at The Metro shouts “We Want Chance!” It’s shock, disbelief, maybe even nerves.

But the set is cold. Chance runs through songs off his Acid Rap mixtape including “Smoke Again” and “Pusha Man,” delivering his trademark harmonies with strained vocals.

You can catch Chance in the coming weeks as he brings his acid raps to New York, performing at Europa Night Club in Greenpoint, Brooklyn on June 15, and SOB’s on June 20 as part of the Hot 97 Who’s Next series (flyer included below). Peep the video to know what’s in store. From the looks of it, you’ll get a live band and some pretty serious scratches.
