Buckwild “Dropping Science” on Music Past and Present

For “Dropping Science,” French documentary duo Nicolas Venancio and Mathieu Rochet of Gasface, chop it up with DJ/producer Buckwild, and hear his thoughts on how the new generation of music makers is “like 1994 all over again.”

Buck covers topics from rummaging through Lord Finesses’s “junk pile” of records, to some of his favorite sample sources, like Galt MacDermot of Hair fame (who he helps track down in the film “Looking 4 Galt“). The Bronx native even draws a parallel between the 1960s musical and hip hop in the late ’80s to early ’90s being “music of change.” Catch Buckwild’s career influences and veteran advice for upcoming artists, in the video above.
