Stüssy and Vans are two iconic institutions that have made a lasting imprint on the world of street fashion. Capitalizing on their shared investment in the skate community, these Californian purveyors of cool are teaming up for a collaborative footwear collection.
Drawing upon the rich history each brand shares, the collection revives Stüssy prints that have barely seen the light of day, in recent memory. The three models in the Vault by Vans collection include the OG 36 LX, the OG Era LX, and OG Sk8 Hi LX.
The OG Era 36 LX utilizes the original design specifics of the Old Skool, and revives Stussy’s Tom Tom pattern, which was originally drawn by Shawn Stüssy in 1986. The pattern can be found along the side panels, with beige suede and neon overlays to complete the look.
Second up is the OG Era LX, which brings the Stüssy Bones print back to life. First printed in 1988, the Bones takes on a repeat pattern upon the canvas upper, with contrasting blue leather found on the heel panel.
Completing the collection is Stüssy’s infamous 8-Ball print, embellished on the classic OG Sk8 Hi silhouette. The Sk8 Hi is decked out in its usual black suede, with a red side stripe and checkered laces.
The Vault by Vans x Stüssy collection is set to hit Stüssy chapter stores and select Vault retailers in June.
