Troy Ave feat. Fabolous “Merlot” MP3
Troy Ave and Fabolous get no kick from champagne, just pain for their cham friends in a glass of merlot.
When you’re on top of your game, champagne is normally the choice of drink for celebrating. There’s nothing bubbly though about Troy Ave’s next big record, “Merlot.” Yeah, he’s about to toast to his next mixtape opus—out next week—but he’s got more melancholy feelings floating around on the track named after the darkest of grapes. Fab’s dark hours are reflected too, touching on the frightening moment of a lady stressing about the side piece. Funny how the beat, totally smoothed out by a sample of Cortex’s “Huit Octobre,” inspires this confession and a few others. Guys like Wiz Khalifa and MF Doom have left their fingerprints on the jazz-funk oldie, resulting in songs that take it easy like Sunday morning. Check for Troy Ave’s Bricks In My Backpack 3 hitting on June 12th. Play a few of the other similar retrospects for life below.
