Last week we teamed up with the good folks at Creative Social to present the latest Secret Walls battle, this time around featuring a contest of epic proportions between L’amour Supreme and Tristan Eaton. The event was hosted by Bernstein & Andruilli at NYC’s Neueuhouse, and turned out to be a night to remember.
With B&A playing host, the whole building seemed to be buzzing. Artists, friends, and peers all made their way into the venue, excited to see the two commensurate artists throw back a few brews and share stories, as they prepared to duke it out in the battle on canvas later in the evening. Not only was the crowd abuzz inside, but outside as well. The lines stretched down to the next avenue and around the corner, with everyone in anticipation of some dope work.
The battle that took place found Eaton and Supreme hitting duel canvases, strictly on some black and white steez, all while murdering their respective styles. It was an action packed hour and a half full of drips, comparative glances, shenanigans, brews, and a exhibition in style and technique.
After the 90 minute time frame finished, the two artists presented their finished pieces. The pieces turned out to be portraits of each other, and with the judges deadlocked in a 2-2 tie, the crowd was called upon to make the deciding vote. After a raucous response, the decibel reader echoed what the crowd was clamoring for: a victory for L’amour Supreme.
