Tony Jaa and Scott Adkins Enlisted for “Kickboxer” Remake

Big news for martial arts fans: both Tony Jaa (Ong Bak) and Scott Adkins (The Bourne Ultimatum) have been casted in director Stephen Fung’s upcoming Kickboxer remake. They’re joining Dave Bautista (Guardians of the Galaxy) and Georges St. Pierre (Captain America: The Winter Soldier) to completely remake Jean-Claude Van Damme’s 1989 cult classic.

The original film was nothing short of incredible, featuring Jean-Claude Van Damme kicking a handful of asses to avenge his brother’s death. The remake will take place in Thailand, where lead star and newcomer Alain Moussi will learn all of his sweet kickboxing moves. We’re glad to see Tony Jaa on the team to show off his Muay Thai skills in his homeland.

Hopefully, they also remake that lame dance scene from the original film.
