The White Mandingos “My First White Girl”
Watch Murs and his jheri curl wig perform and get weird with some middle-aged white ladies.
Bi-racial relationships are interesting. Murs, Darryl Jenifer (of Bad Brains), and our own Editorial Director Sacha Jenkins, otherwise known as The White Mandingos, understand this. So they made a song about it on their debut album The Ghetto Is Tryna Kill Me called “My First White Girl.” Now there’s a beautifully directed video (by Chris Roe) to match the tune. It’s weird. It’s funny. It’s uncomfortable. It’s poetic. It’s honest. A lot like the song lyrics. Murs also looks awesome sporting a Jheri curl wig (Coming To America’s Randy Watson lives). Watch out for the Save The Last Dance bi-racial dancers reference during the video’s closing too. Kudos to all the black guys and all the white girls and the mixed bag of taboo luggage that they carry with them. Because, in the end, dancing together makes all colors look beautiful.
