Takeshi Miyakawa Free from Rikers Island

Takeshi's only crime was his love for the city. He's now free from Rikers Island after being accused of planting bombs. Lighten up NY.

A five day and four night stint in Rikers for hanging street art perceived to be a bomb. Tough break for Takeshi Miyakawa, only looking to send a flattering message to the city he calls home. After his release from jail, he told NY1, “it was quite rough,” but held back other details. His only other descriptions were sleeping on the floor and fights, just like in the movies. He still loves New York. He’s due back in court on June 21st, after he undergoes a mental evaluation ordered by the judge. Bagged for hanging shopping bags. Sucks. Welcome home Takeshi.
