Watch Sweden’s Polar Skateboards Invade NYC

Last September, Pontis Alv and his Polar Skateboards collective traveled from Sweden to New York. The crew got in some thorough sessions and hosted a DIY “Bum Rush the Spot” event at the world-famous BQE and a one night art gallery at the KCDC skate shop in Brooklyn.

The independent skate company managed to put the BQE bum rush event together despite a severe storm rolling over the five boroughs and the event culminated in the creation of the new bank to ledge gap that is now one of the best pieces at the renowned location.
