ScHoolboy Q “Hoover Street” Video

Q delivers a compelling visual for the introspective track.

ScHoolboy Q teams up with Yellow Nguyen and TDE’s Moosa to deliver a captivating short film music video for “Hoover Street.” The track is one of the more introspective songs on Oxymoron, and the visual is a perfect match, recounting the story of ScHoolboy growing up on the eponymous street in Los Angeles.

We see a young Q getting his first taste of crime, grabbing his uncle’s gun to rob an ice cream truck. He shares how his uncle’s drug habit caused tension in his grandmother’s household. Despite all the bullshit, Q refers to those times as “the good days,” hinting things only got worse as he delved deeper into gang life.
