ScHoolboy Q “Break tHe Bank” prod. by Alchemist

There’s something ominous about ScHoolboy Q’s “Break tHe Bank,” maybe it’s Alchemist’s dissonant piano keys tinkering in the background, Q’s strained vocals as he exorcises his demons, or the fact the track itself foreshadows a verbal massacre and robbery of sorts. Whatever it is, the song paints a vivid picture of his past, present and plans for the future.

Today, Q released an equally ominous music video to match the track, directed by Mass Appeal’s resident spiritual guide Jason Goldwatch. Juxtaposing shots of ScHoolboy sitting in an abandoned building playing a decrepit piano against scenes of his daughter running through the streets with a giant gold “Q” balloon, the video captures the entire range of emotions conveyed in the song.

Check out the new music video above, and be sure to purchase a copy of ScHoolboy Q’s Oxymoron when it drops on Tuesday Feb. 25. You can also pre-order the album via iTunes and get an instant download of “Break tHe Bank,” produced by Alchemist.
