Ronnie Fieg is GT’d Up
Sneaker designer and shop owner Ronnie Fieg goes back to his roots with Asics, remixing the classic GT-II in the hue of Ricky Rozay.
Ronnie Fieg is at it again. This time, however, he is revisiting one of his original concepts, namely the “Super Red” tone, and is applying it to the Asics GT-II instead of the split-tongued Gel-Lyte III. The original, released in 2010, used a primarily grey upper with hits of vibrant red, all on top of a black midsole and red outsole. The sequel however, looks to upstage its predecessor dramatically; it is completely decked out in rich, super red suede, sitting on top of a more subtle grey midsole and outsole. And with GEL cushioning underfoot, you know these will be stylish and comfortable.
It wouldn’t be a Ronnie Fieg without a photo shoot with a hot model. Scroll down to get another shot of the kicks on Casey Diego, plus a look at the original Super Red 1.0. These are scheduled to release Friday April 27th, at both of Kith’s New York locations (644 Broadway, NYC; 233 Flatbush Ave, BKLYN), as well as their online store.
