Rhythm Roulette with Gensu Dean

Sharp as a knife

Known by many as The Grand Incredible, Gensu Dean is currently one of hip hop’s best kept secrets. Mello Music Group’s very own stopped by Good Records to be blindfolded, to select three records at random, and to give us an intimate look into his creative process by cranking out a few beats.

Currently based in Texas, Dean has become known for his vintage SP1200 as well as his massive 7000+ piece vinyl collection to go along with it. In this episode we see the producer taking us through his process, even having to work though a bit of country music.

“Out of all the genres of music, country is one that I did not get into,” Gensu Dean told Mass Appeal.
