Red Bull “Ride+Style” Recap
When you think of fixed gear bikes the first thing that can come to mind is hipsters and bike messengers rushing past you...but that wasn't the case for this face off.
A few weeks ago we brought you behind the scenes photos of Risk and Tristan Eaton painting a bike ramps for the 3rd Annual Red Bull “Ride+Style” event (seen here) that was on May 6 at the Justin Herman Plaza in San Francisco, CA. When local SF artist Sam Flores added his elaborate colors and London artist INSA added his heel patterns to the mix it became an amazing display of a collaborative effort with a group of artists who styles were so different.
When you think of fixed gear bikes the first thing that can come to mind is hipsters and bike messengers rushing past you…but that wasn’t the case for this face off. The riders were flying through the air doing amazing tricks that had you standing on you toes wondering if they were going to land or not. Despite there being a few wipe outs the riders gave it their all in both categories of race and freestyle. The event was a fantastic turn out and the lacquer on the beautifully destroyed ramps was shinning bright; its going to be tough to top this event next year!
