Those anticipating RATKING’s debut album (collective Mass Appeal hands raise) are in luck, as the trio’s debut album is now available for streaming at NPR, a full eight days before its release date. The group, comprised of emcees Wiki and Hak and producer Sporting Life, capture an essence of New York, putting quality, authenticity, and spirit above all else. As Timmhotep says in NPR’s write up, “RATKING has achieved a New York sound without being revivalists. They realize the essence of a New York sound comes from experience in the here-and-now and not nostalgia for the past.” So It Goes is slated for an April 8 release, with features from King Krule, Wavy Spice, and Salomon Faye.
