Phony Ppl Announce “WAKE UP” Residency at Brooklyn Bowl
Phony Ppl is kicking off their new monthly “WAKE UP” residency at the Brooklyn Bowl on May 1st and will be hitting the stage alongside Minneapolis native Allan Kingdom and Brooklyn-based beatsmith Roofeeo.
Following last week’s release of Elbee Thrie’s single “Nice to Meet Me”, we’re happy to announce that our friends Phony Ppl are gearing up to take over the Brooklyn Bowl every first Wednesday for the next few months.
The monthly “WAKE UP” series is a hybrid party/jam session with the goal of bringing together a number of young artists, producers and DJ’s from the hip hop, alt-R&B and indie genres. Phony Ppl will grace each night with a headlining set and you can bank on hearing some brand new cuts from their upcoming album 53,000 which is slated to release next month.
May 1st kicks off the monthly residency and along with a guaranteed Phony Ppl jam session, expect to see the NYC debut of Minneapolis rapper/producer Allan Kingdom and a DJ set from Brooklyn-based beatsmith Roofeeo. You can grab tickets here and be on the look out for a chance to win some tickets in the next few days.
