Pharrell Hand Draws a Custom adidas Collection for Colette
Pharrell's Punk Proclivities
Pharrell— aka the man with the plan, aka “Skateboard P” (I’m pretty sure that “P” stands for product)— has more goodies for your consumption. Having partnered with Adidas earlier this year, “P” has been on a tear, all the while waving the flag of the three stripes.
For his next big project with the brand, Pharrell has collaborated with French shop Colette to produce a limited run of 10 Stan Smiths. What makes these jammies truly unique is the fact that each pair has been given the hand drawn treatment by
the man in the big yellow hat Pharrell. Don’t get it twisted though, this isn’t Pharrell’s first time. Back in 2011, he made noise when he took pen to leather on some low top all black Timbs’.
(Maybe the “P” stands for “punk,” who knows?) It’s safe to say Pharrell’s had some practice over the past couple of years, resulting in the kicks below. Using a number of themes as the base for his hand-drawn designs, we find sneakers with messages of love and benevolence, coupled with pairs covered in daisies and joints that reinforce his iamOTHER aesthetic:
These limited edition kicks hit Colette this morning around 11 am, so best of luck snagging a pair. Hey, there are alway re-sellers.
In the event that you can’t hop in the Turbo Copter and swing over the English channel like the Super Thug: Cop a pair of those Stannies, hit up your local arts and crafts or marker depot, and start your own wave. Don’t say we never put you on.
