This chukka is a muthaf**ka. The upper is hand-sewn in the US from 100% bison hide, and features a nuanced grain that’ll wear beautifully. With a long seam extending from the Trapper’s vaguely moccasin toebox all the way to its heel panel, the ankle boot looks like a gunboat riding low in the water.
Beneath the surface is where the aesthetic gets vicious. Attached to the welt is a black Vibram ripple sole that evokes an alligator’s grin. Performance-wise, this sole (currently very popular with Japanese brands like Caminando) will bite everything from soft loamy surfaces to slick pavements.
Cop this beastly boot right now for $396 USD from Need Supply.
