NYC’s Museum of Sex Presents “FUNLAND: Pleasures & Perils of the Erotic Fairground”

This summer, the Museum of Sex in NYC will be playing host to an erotic carnival teeming with fun! FUNLAND: Pleasures & Perils of the Erotic Fairground is an art installation designed to make you think about underlying sexual themes prevalent in carnival culture. If you’re having trouble making the connection, no worries. Brush up on your carnival culture knowledge with some reading material from Professor Vanessa Toulmin.

The exhibition consists of five “attractions” that are meant to tap into each one of your senses and show a bit of your prowess, aka you get to flex your XXX-pertise. Here’s what the Museum of Sex had to say:

Physical, visual and olfactory experiences are utilized to give the audience a breathless rush of endorphins (similar to those released at the point of orgasm), challenge their strength and agility, and allow them to compete with and impress friends and lovers, as well as other patrons.

So far, what looks to be the most fun is “Jump For Joy,” a moonbounce joint completely laden with enormous, marvelous breasts! Other attractions include the rock climbing wall full of “orifices and appendages” affectionately known as “Grope Mountain,” and “The Tunnel of Love,” a mirrored maze that leads folks on a climactic journey to the Gräfenberg aka “G” Spot (best get familiar fam).

Hey, it’s carnival season, so why not make it one to really remember this time. Click here to purchase tickets, and hit the video player up top to get a glimpse of “Jump For Joy,” aka the house of boobs. The installation is designed by conceptual art duo Bompas & Parr, and opens up June 26.
