You already know that NinjaSonik’s Jah Jah Brown is a skater, rapper, and professional partier but did you know he was also a visual artist? Jah Jah is one of over two dozen artists featured in the “Headscapes” group show taking place from now until Mar. 24.
The group installation show is based on the inner thoughts of its participants; contributors were asked to go inside of their minds and create installations that reflect them in an empty warehouse space in Long Island. By entering into each installation one enters the mind of the artist whether that means an igloo made of speakers or kaleidoscope projection lighthouse. The show is a multimedia experience including everything from film to paintings to sculpture.
“Headscapes” was conceived and curated by Jah Jah Brown, Nicholas Chatfield-Taylor, Serra Victoria Bothwell Fels, and Benjamin Mortimer, with support from See.Me, Rockrose, and Build It Green. See details and some pics from the show below.
