New Balance isn’t letting anything rain on your footwear parade. Images have surfaced of the New Balance M577 “Rain Mack” pack, drawing inspiration from Britain’s historic Mackintosh brand, one that specializes in making garments with rubberized material that is fully waterproof. Britain’s harsh and clammy climate sparks necessity to keep dry, and that’s what we can expect from these M577s.
The sneakers arrive in two distinct color ways, one in forest green and orange, while the other is decked in shades of navy and yellow. Noteworthy features include a speckled midsole, extra grip on the sole for when the concrete gets slippery, and an upper that synthesizes suede, nylon, and the waterproof rubberized material that garners the namesake. Also found on the heel tab is an embossed British flag. Expect the New Balance “Rain Mack” pack to drop at a retailer near you once the Autumn season comes upon us.
