As we approach the midway point of July, it’s time for the boys of summer to get their shine on. The MLB’s brightest stars will take the field to showcase their skills in Flushing Queens, NY on July 16th for the 2013 MLB All-Star Game, with the New York Mets handling host duties for this year’s festivities. New Balance is dedicating a special pack of sneakers in light of this year’s All-Star Game, revealing new colorways in the classic 574 model and the Minimus 20v3, for those performance junkies. As for those digging up the dirt and still hitting the field for your weekend Beer League, fear not as NB will also include 4040v2 baseball spikes (Mids and Lows) in what they’re dubbing the “Baseball Pack.”
Mets fans have a few things to be happy about, they’re slightly under .500 so there’s definitely room for improvement, they have a Cy Young candidate in Matt Harvey, and on top of hosting they have two players from their roster representing the Blue and Orange at this year’s All-Star Game. Not to mention these Mets’ inspired NBs to sport on their feet as the whole world watches baseball’s biggest names duke it out on their turf. Don’t strike out on the New Balance “Baseball Pack,” hitting stores on July 15th in limited quantities at select New Balance stockists and online.
Peanuts and Cracker Jack sold separately.
