Music Of The Month (So Far) – May ’14

Every second of every day the Internets jams our ears with new music. Your homies here at Mass Appeal understand that, and we want to help. Accordingly, we present you with May’s installment of Music of the Month, So Far.

2 Chainz made a loud comeback with his FREEBASE EP, and lets face it, it’s his best material in a while. Jamie xx graced us with a rework of King Krule’sNeptune Estate” featuring Wiki (from RATKING) and apparently Earl Sweatshirt on his BBC6 radio show…who turned out to be Lucki Eck$. Earl on the other hand, teamed up with Left Brain for a spacey remix of “Chum.”

Banks dropped “Goddess”, the sultry single off her upcoming record of the same name. French producer Dream Koala calmed us down with hypnotic dreamscapes on his Earth. Home. Destroyed. , while Fatima Al Qadiri took us on a “virtual road trip through imagined China”.

Madlib presented us with a great old fashioned soulstrumental, and BADBADNOTGOOD remixed his and Gangsta Gibbs’s “Shame”Shabazz Palaces returned with yet another bizarre electro-hip-hop fusion called “They Come In Gold”. Johnny Cinco got us hype with John Popi, while Nosaj Thing created a brilliant remix of Little Dragon’s “Klapp Klapp”…featuring Future

Enough with reading these here words. Check out the playlist, twist a 40, and let us know what you think in the comments, y’all.
