Modest Mouse to Re-issue First Two Albums on Vinyl

Modest Mouse has announced that they will be reissuing their 1996 debut album, This Is A Long Drive For Someone With Nothing To Think About, as well as their 1997 follow-up, The Lonesome Crowded West. The two albums have become fan favorites, and will be re-issued on vinyl next month via Fat Possum member Isaac Brock’s imprint Glacial Pace.

Each re-issued album comes with an accompanying 7″ single that includes unreleased songs from the album’s recording session. This Is A Long Drive For Someone With Nothing To Think About, releases October 28 and will include the singles “White Lies, Yellow Teeth” and “Buttons To Push The Buttons.” The Lonesome Crowded West releases November 4 and will include the “Too Many Fiestas For Rueben” and an alternative version of “Cowboy Dan.”
