Milkcrate Collaborates With Interscope
Thought Beats by Dr. Dre was a game changer for Interscope records? Look at what they're about to do in the streetwear market with the OG Aaron LaCrate.
Mass Appeal ran into the ever youthful and talented DJ/producer/designer Aaron LaCrate two weeks ago at the Beats By Dre X Jeff Staple Pigeon Beats launch in SoHo. The B-More native, whose relationship with us goes back about 14 years, clued us in on what he’s been up to. Aside from keeping an eye on his Milkcrate Athletics Summer 2012 collection, “Illson” (a dope selection from Milkcrate in the ’90s) has been busy dropping mixtapes, working with Bun B Trill OG, Schoolboy Q, Jim Jones, Mobb Deep and so many all-stars we could be here all day bigging up his resumé which also includes New Balance/SNS team-up.
Over the weekend the “Hands on The Wheel” remixer revealed a new venture: a collaboration with Interscope Records, which is the inaugural streetwear endeavor by the record label powerhouse. And it all went down backstage at SummerJam! Co-signs by Jay Rock, DJ Wallah, Kendrick Lamar, and many others soon followed.
The Milkcrate X Interscope collaboration is ill in itself but an Aaron LaCrate CD with the brand is something we’d fefinitely look fwd to.
