Although temperatures continue to drop in the city, a Southern heat wave is about to hit the streets of the Big Apple. Up-and-coming streetwear brands Lucid FC and Superrradical are set to collaborate for an exclusive one day only pop up shop this Saturday Nov. 9th hosted by The Good Company. The collection will feature an array of pieces, ranging from short and long sleeve tees, down to hoodies and beanies.
The collection is guaranteed to satisfy all swag palettes with basic logo tees, tie-dye prints for those looking to turn heads, and custom airbrushed hoodies that take us all the way back. (Shirt Kings anyone?) The lookbook is looking like a cookbook, featuring the heads of each respective brand sabotaging the bluffs of Atlanta and trapping on a typical evening. Straight off the Mac Book, no less! The photos certainly capture the essence of a superficial outlook on the grit and grime of The South.
When asked about the collaboration, Lucid FC’s Betts DeHart said, “Lucid and Superrradical are both from the southern area of the United States so we wanted to design the collection that represents The South. Not to mention trapping is the new thing.” Moving forward Lucid also hopes to transition their headquarters to NYC come 2014, so the streets better keep watch.
The Lucid FC x Superrradical one-day trapathon will take place on November 9th from 12-5pm at The Good Company. Special guests are also expected to make appearances, so it looks like that little boutique on Allen Street will be steady mobbing.
Yo! Adrian doesn’t trap, but he is on Twitter.
