Search on Google’s homepage today, and be enamored by their tribute to graf icon, Keith Haring. His legacy, on what would have been his 54th birthday is being honored in the virtual space of the Internet along with the Brooklyn Museum’s commemorative look at his seminal artwork between 1978 and 1982. The cyclical commemoration of Haring continues when his friend and contemporary Eric Haze speaks on a panel discussion at the BK Museum. Peep the description from their calendar below:
“A panel including graffiti artist and designer Eric Haze, visual culture scholar Dr. Marin Irvine, and art historian Dr. Robert Farris Thompson investigates the ways that Keith Haring developed his own language system and applied it across artistic mediums. The panelists will use these practices as a lens to consider how the legacy of Haring’s work has evolved over time.”
