Jay Z, Beyoncé, and Kanye West Sued by California Inmate for $2.4 Billion

Jay Z, Beyoncé, and Kanye West Sued by California Inmate for $2.4 Billion

Richard Dupree is either one of the most underrated songwriters in the history of music, or one of the most deranged prisoners in California’s prison system. We’re tempted to go with the latter. According to a story from Re-Tox, Dupree is suing Kanye West, Beyoncé, Chris Brown, Rihanna and Jay Z for $2.4 billion.

But wait, the story gets weirder.

Dupree states that hip hop’s royal couple, Jay Z and Beyoncé, are secretly super spies and have been working with the feds (the CIA, FBI and Department of Homeland Security to be exact) to spy on Dupree for the most fiendish, maniacal purposes possible. The inmate claims the Carter’s are in possesion of an advanced lyric-stealing satellite technology that somehow recorded his intense writing process. How many tracks did the ’03 Bonnie and Clyde steal? Oh, just 3,000.

However, the dynamic duo didn’t accomplish this monumental feat alone. According to Dupree, Kanye West, Rihanna and Chris Brown are also spies and co-conspirators to this heinous crime.

We wish this were a joke … sort of. Here’s a look at the official court order:

“ORDER signed by Magistrate Judge Carolyn K. Delaney on 4/30/14 ORDERING that Plaintiff’s application to proceed in forma pauperis is dismissed without prejudice; the Clerk of the Court is directed to send plaintiff a new Application to Proceed In Forma Pauperis By a Prisoner; and Plaintiff shall submit, within thirty days from the date of this order, a completed application to proceed in forma pauperis. Plaintiff’s failure to comply with this order will result in a recommendation that this action be dismissed without prejudice. (Becknal, R)”
