Kanye West May Collaborate With Paul McCartney on New Album
Kanye's trying to recruit all the legends.
Kanye West brought out some unlikely collaborators for Yeezus, but now he’s taking it to another level. Reports have recently surfaced that West wants to collaborate with Sir Paul McCartney on his upcoming project.
Apparently, the two have become good friends, and West has approached McCartney to add a few finishing touches to the album. Kanye was backstage at McCartney’s show earlier this week in Los Angeles, and a source told the Sun newspaper that “Kanye and Paul have known each other for a long time but have become more friendly recently. There’s every chance they’ll head into the studio together.” The details of the collaboration have been kept under wraps, but the source added that West has “been tapping Macca up for a while about working together.”
This isn’t the first time McCartney has expressed interest in a collaboration with a rapper, as he contemplated featuring either Kanye or Jay Z on his track “Appreciate” from last year.
Though details surrounding West’s forthcoming album have been scarce, we have been been blessed with a rough version of “All Day.”
Page Six now reports that the two musicians have recorded a number of tracks together, which “could turn into an album.” One of the songs is tentatively titled “Piss On Your Grave,” and Kim Kardashian has reportedly been heard telling friends she was surprised at the provocative track name.
