John Waters Named as Featured Artist for “The Filthy World” Photo Show

Meet the director/artist with the thinnest mustache on Earth.

The nostalgia of cult classics and B-movie gems can often overshadow the importance of their creators. That may soon change, as the FotoFocus contemporary photo biennial in Cincinnati is allowing John Waters, the director of “Hairspray” and “Pink Flamingos,” to get his shine on. Waters will be performing his one-man show titled “This Filthy World” on October 11, which will include him giving an in-depth explanation about his obsession with the grittier side of Americana culture.

John Waters’ work will also be featured in another exhibition titled “Stills,” which is taking place in Cincinnati from September 26, to November 1, 2014. Take a look at the full schedule for Foto Focus Biennial 2014 here.
