Jay-Z Wears the Crown on Rick Ross’ “3 Kings”

Good things don't always come in threes.

After the tracklist for the Bawse’s God Forgives I Don’t dropped, the one that stood out the most was “3 Kings,” which features legends Dr. Dre and Jay-Z. Well, the wait is finally over, as the Jake One produced song dropped on the Internets last night. The beat sounds like Freeway should ambush it, but it begins with a rather short Dr. Dre verse. Let’s face it, rapping has never really been his real forte. Hit the snooze button. Rick Ross follows up with an unsurprising verse, tackling the subjects we expect him to. You’re starting to stir. Then the wake up call rings. Jay delivers the finale, and provides an interesting, amusing verse that exaggerates his wealth to a level of sheer stupidity (including a possible renegotiation of his MASSive Live Nation 360 deal). Even though two-thirds of the track is slightly disappointing, because one would expect something epic from the likes of these 3 “kings,” the Jiggaman saves the day in the end through his memorable guest appearance. Good day.
