The High Line in NYC by Devin P-B Instagram

The launch of Instagram confirmed a major shift in the world of photography that’s been developing for quite some time: It’s a digital world. You no longer need a Nikon F3 or Canonet QL17 G-III to snap flicks with a vintage feel. Equipped with a smartphone and an array of filters, budding (and established) photographers are hitting the streets in droves, capturing images that make jaws drop and thumbs succumb to instantaneous double taps.

We’re giving up-and-coming photographers a chance to showcase their work to the world with our weekly #Instappeal contest. Every Monday we’ll hit you with our theme for the week. If you have a photograph that you think fits the theme, share it on Instagram using the hashtag #Instappeal and mention @MassAppeal in the caption. Next week, we’ll pick our three favorite photographers and profile their work with a short bio on our website.

This week’s theme:

“End of Summer”
