The Future of Hood by Air Has Been Written
HBA is expanding rapidly.
Hood by Air is rapidly growing and shows no signs of slowing down whatsoever. Fresh off of their recent CFDA nomination and 100,000-euro LVHM Special Prize, Shayne Oliver is set to expand his brainchild on a few levels.
First, Oliver plans to open a flagship in the LES soon, which will usher in a fresh distribution plan, allowing for HBA in-store exclusive merchandise. On top of that, the designer will be dividing Hood by Air into three parts, Hood by Air (wardrobe), HBA (graphic pieces), and a whole collection to be shown in Paris, but Oliver is keeping details tightly under wraps.
Rather than vying for a runway show to present the collection, he told Style.com, “It will be a presentation as opposed to being a show, definitely meant to be intimate and one-on-one. It’s going to push the direction of this whole season. It’ll be the fire starter.”
The HBA founder also debuted his upcoming Pre-Spring Collection with Style.com. Take a look at what Oliver has in store for the collection below, and check out the full lookbook here. Hood by Air has evolved to become much more than a fad, it is certainly here to stay.
