After nearly a year of delay, Australia’s Highs and Lows is finally set to release their collaboration with Asics, the “Brick and Mortar Pack.” Building upon the Masonic bond of Brick and Mortar, Highs and Lows is using the GT-II and Gel Lyte III silhouettes in order to represent the bond between the squad from down under, the building blocks of a sturdy structure.
Let’s get into it: first off we have the GT-II “Brick,” and we’re not talking bricks of yay. Adorned in a rich nubuck and canvas upper, the GT-II’s feature an appealing red/burgundy hue to embody the color of the essential stones. The “Mortar” GL-III takes on a much more subtle look, with a grey upper comprised of preforated suede and nubuck. Both kicks feature special tongue labels with the Masonic square compass symbol to complete the theme. Sneaker illuminati? These were originally supposed to be released to commemorate the seventh year anniversary of HAL, conspiracy-theorist hypebeasts will have a ball with this one.
Keep an eye out for the Highs and Lows x Asics “Brick and Mortar Pack,” releasing at Highs and Lows on September 14th. An international release is slated for September 21st at select Asics retailers!
