Hailing from Jamaica, Queens, High I’m Ry is the perfect mixture of new age rap and boom bap. He began his venture with music in Charlotte, NC along with his collective Forever FC. As he describes himself, “A yankee boy on some country shit,” the New York native has been back and forth from North Carolina to New York since age 12. After a few guest verses, High I’m Ry felt like he had the potential to start a solo career. He slowly eased his way into the lane when he debuted a few tracks on the Forever FC group tape, which dropped last year. After building a buzz in North Carolina and on a few big name blogs, he decided it was time to release a full body of work.
