Future Launches “Monster” Mixtape With Halloween Party in ATL

“My savages, my savages, my savages,” Future croons on track #8 off his new Monster mixtape. “We gon’ leave a nigga stiffer than a mannequin.” The mummified shrunken head on the cover of Monster is easily one of the scariest sights in the history of hip hop  artwork. So it was only fitting that the multi-platinum ATL hitmaker should launch Monster (which he prefers to refer to as a “street album”) with a Halloween-themed masquerade listening party. Tuesday night, a hand-picked guest list of friends and tastemakers from the Atlanta music scene (including Rae Sremmurd, Trinidad James, and Rock City) flocked to Tree Sound Studios in Norcross, Georgia to hear Future play a few cuts off Monster—he even performed a few live on a cobweb-strewn microphone stand. The 16-track mixtape, which features production from Metro Boomin’ and TM-88, as well as a Lil Wayne feature on “After That,” is available for download at freebandz.com or livemixtapes.com.
