Freddie Gibbs “Eastside Moonwalker”

Light one up and back the slab up slow with Gibbs on his latest "ESGN" visual.

He’s more Arm & Hammer than Armie Hammer, but ever since Freddie Gibbs has been on his lone ranger shit, we’ve been getting a steady influx of new music from his upcoming album, ESGN. After a publicized split from Young Jeezy and his CTE records, Gibbs has been taking his rollout in his own hands, with a video for “Eastside Moonwalker” registering as his latest entry.

Gangsta Gibbs pulls up slow in the video, whose title pays homage to his Gary, Indiana brethren, Mr. Michael Jackson. You can pre-order the album — which features Jay Rock and BJ the Chicago Kid — on iTunes now, or pick it up July 9th at a local record store near you. Gibbs just released the cover for ESGN (pictured below), which draws on his former sports column and could stand for a series of acronyms evoking his East Side Gary roots, though the track list (also pictured below) spells it out as “Evil Seeds Grow Naturally.” Album anticipation does, too, with new footage dropping weekly.
