Fashion and Skate Collide in “Board Games”

Fashion and Skate Collide in “Board Games”

London retailer Selfridges has curated a collection that speaks to all things shred-worthy. The shop has teamed up with Dazed & Confused for “Board Games,” a skate and surf magazine that will commemorate the Selfridges facelift. Throughout the months of March and April, the store will feature board-ready looks that best portray the influence that the cultures of skate and surf have on the modern aesthetic of fashion.

The collection will feature pieces from brands like 3.1 Phillip Lim, Comme des Garçons Play, Givenchy, Lanvin, New Era, Ray Ban, Stüssy and Y-3 among others. To top it off, the store will also feature a Board Room jam packed with limited edition decks, hardware and surfboarts surfboards.

In order to kick off the party, the collaborators have released a short film directed by Price James, which stars a bunch of skate rats decked out in the collection. To summarize, the film is all about chicks and dudes hitting kick flips while skate Jesus hovers above them in flaring 3M fashion. The Board Games collection elevates what we’ve come to expect from street and skate wear. Shred on homies, shred on.
