Drake Drops 4 New Tracks

Drake drops four new tracks showcasing a renewed focus on lyricism. Listen to them all here.

It looks like Drake is trying to grab a piece of the spotlight during the brief respite between the hype of Kanye West’s Yeezus and the release of Jay-Z’s Magna Carta Holy Grail. Four new tracks were posted last night on the OVO blog by Drizzy’s right-hand man Oliver North. The title of the post reads “September 17 Nothing Was The Same,” revealing the release date of Drake’s new album.

The songs show a renewed focus on lyricism from Drake, something early fans of the MC will be happy to hear. While two of the four songs are actually Drake features, they might as well be his. The Toronto rapper outshines the other artists on the tracks with lines like, “26 on my third GQ cover, your new shit sound like you do covers, of all of my old shit.” A certain North Carolina rapper makes a surprise appearance on one of the tracks, speaking on the hate he’s been receiving since dropping his sophomore album.

Check out the four new tracks from Drake below and let us know which one you’re feeling the most.
