DJ Skizz “Vio-Lence” Feat. Lil’ Fame of MOP & Ill Bill

With the video for "Vio-Lence," Lil' Fame and Ill Bill make death threats sound like promises over a sinister soundscape from DJ Skizz.

What is it with some New Englanders and their gift for crafting an authentic New York City hip-hop sound? You can already put guys like Guru (R.I.P.) and Statik Selektah into that category and now you can add Boston native and Brooklyn resident DJ Skizz to that number.

With the video for “Vio-Lence,” the lead single from his upcoming BQE (Brooklyn Queens Experience) album, we get former Mass Appeal cover subject, Lil’ Fame and friend of MA, Ill Bill making death threats sound like death promises over a sinister soundscape from DJ Skizz. It becomes obvious that that these guys are here to remind the world that Brooklyn isn’t all artisanal cheese shops and thrift stores.

Watch two of Brooklyn’s finest emcees link up with one of Boston’s best producers and put sports rivalries behind them in the common interest of what else? Violence.
