Diplo’s Page Turning Travels In New Book
Diplo and photographer Shane McCauley capture the deejay's life on the road for the world to see, and hear in 128 Beats Per Minute.
Your heart pumps hate (and Kool-Aid) if you call Diplo a culture vulture. Being Wesley Pentz ain’t easy: traveling around the world, waking up in a different city every time he rests his head, especially in a place most deejays only get to see on National Geographic, in their dreams. His travels are now compiled in a book published by Urban Outfitters, which is also accused of exploiting cultures in their myraid of goods carrying imagery of Mickey Mouse to Gandhi. Table that issue for now. Really though, if Diplo didn’t put out this book, wouldn’t THAT be more selfish? Know where Diplo came from to know where he’s going. Share the love, get inspired. 128 Beats Per Minute is in stores now here.
