Lady Pink Death Of Graffiti

Daze and Lady Pink Paint at the City Museum

Daze and Lady Pink will be on hand to paint a special mural this Sunday at the City Museum.

Mass Appeal and the City As Canvas project invite you to come see the legendary Chris “Daze” Ellis and Lady Pink as they rock at the City Museum (1220 Fifth Ave.) in New York City this Sunday, Oct. 13th. The prolific and pioneer graffiti artists will be displaying their painting process as they create a mural on the terrace of the museum front.

City as Canvas: New York Graffiti from the Martin Wong Collection is a brand-new book that documents the enormous graffiti collection donated by Martin Wong to the City Museum in the 1990’s. It profiles the early days of the graffiti art movement along with a look at some of the most active artists during the time.

Families and graffiti enthusiasts are encouraged to come out to this Sunday’s event as sketchbooks and Sharpies will be available for visitors of all ages. Painting kicks off at 11 a.m. and wraps up at 5 p.m.
