The second collaboration draws upon the rich history each party embodies, with Converse’s classic silhouettes of the All Star Chuck ’70 and Jack Purcell playing canvas to Margiela’s iconic white paint. The premium leather sneakers are completely hand-painted white, transforming the shoe’s color with each wear and encouraging customers to get serious use in order to reveal the bold colors beneath.
Colors employed on the All Star Chucks include Amber Glow and True Navy, while the Jack Purcells take on hidden colorways of Azure Blue and Biking Red. Unique features include the Maison Martin Margiela logo emblazoned on the tongue tab, along with lace options with or without the hand painted accents.
The Converse x Maison Martin Margiela 2014 Collection will be available at select retailers beginning May 23 with a price tag of $250.
