Boston’s rich history is reflected in Concepts‘ latest collaboration over the Asics Gel Lyte III silhouette. Dubbed the “Three Lies,” the GLIII’s are modeled after the famed John Harvard statue. The landmark has been said to bring luck to those who rub the toe box of his shoes, causing the statue’s shoes to turn from copper to gold . Now you might not hit the lotto if you cop these kicks, but you’ll be looking straight money with these on your feet.
The “Three Lies” are truly a sight to behold. They are comprised of a premium suede and preforated leather upper. Concepts took it to a whole other level on the color blocking, taking palettes of navy, teal, and a beautiful gold toe box, all sitting atop a crispy speckled midsole. Attention to detail is always a focal point if you’re that sneaker snob in the room, and you can expect nothing but the most precise embellishment from Boston’s premiere sneaker spot. The laces on these bad boys are of a speckled teal, to give them an oxidized feel.
