Yesterday May 30, 2013 marked late rapper Big L’s 39th birthday. Though the infamous D.I.T.C. lyricist is no longer with us, his Harlem-born influence still manifests itself in the form of the neighborhood’s other rap impresario, the ever-ubiquitous “Killa Cam,” otherwise known to most as Cam’ron. New York City’s S.O.B’s played host to a very special evening with the Uptown rap titan. Needless to say the venue was packed and Killa put on a hell of a show.

The night, hosted by Black Ink’s Puma, was flooded with fans from near and far including Queens’ Action Bronson and other New York scene notables like Cam’s own Cousin Bang, up-and-coming New Jersey MC, Retch, and the hip hop sketch comedy goons of It’s the Real. Mass Appeal contributor Brook Bobbins was there on stage, bringing you this exclusive look at what went down. Enjoy!
