Brooklyn Live’s June Party at Public Assembly

Brooklyn Live 6-7-12 Event Flyer

Brooklyn Live, the monthly event series is back next week at Public Assembly in Williamsburg. DJs that do it for real from Beatminerz to X-ecuctioners have graced the lineup. You either get a lineup like that monthly or wait for a DMC competition to roll into town—your choice.

When DJs get together, it’s not about dazzling the audience with all the wacky tricks and stunting with their knowledge of music. They’re in the business of setting moods, like the way people get paid to hang chandeliers and -ish. You add an open bar courtesy of Sailor Jerry Rum, now anything is possible. Case and point: ask Evil Dee about the time he deejayed and Prince and Alicia Keys were in the audience, or that one time when Tracy Morgan was the last dude in the club singing Jodeci and Wu-Tang’s “Freak’N You” Remix with his shirt off. Good times, all the time with the Beatminerz. Watch the introduction of Brooklyn Live’s May installment below. Click here to RSVP on Facebook.
